Haskovo in Haskovo, BulgariaThe Art Gallery in Haskovo was founded in 1962. Initially, it was housed in the former Septemvri movie theatre and its fund consisted of about 550 works, mostly by local artists Dimitar Ivanov - Litso, Petar Tolchev and others. In 1998, the gallery moved to the newly-restored buildings, monuments of culture from the beginning of the 19th century, at No. 1 Episkop Sofroniy Str.,where it is found until this day.
INTERESTING FACTS
At present the gallery stores 1,500 works of painting, graphics and sculpture of artists from different generations. The works of the most prominent authors are arranged in a permanent exhibition, open daily for visitors.
